How to make ¦ White Bread ¦

Hello, Hope you have all have an amazing weekend! I certainly did. Todays blog is "how to make bread"

I have been baking bread on and off for around 2 years now, and finally I have found a recipe that actually works well for a "new be" .. it's not overly difficult with lots of steps! And more importantly for me the yeast is activated before adding it to the mixture, where in the past I think that's where I was going wrong!

So shall we get started?

First things first If you don't have a warm room/place that you can put your bread dough to rise then Pre-heat your oven.. Put your oven on low heat and then turn it off to cool just before you need the dough to rise. Remember to turn it off and let it cool!! Before putting it in the oven to rise!!!!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog guys! I certainly enjoyed making it!! Share your pictures with my on twitter or instagram - links on the right hand side of this page! Share your comments down below!

Baking: White Chocolate Fairy Cakes.

Hello Lovely mommies and daddies or anyone that is reading this blog!!

Welcome back to another baking blog!

Today we will be baking some delicious white chocolate cupcake treats for all the family to enjoy.

first don't forget to pre-heat your oven to 190 degrees

So you will need:

Scales
Mixing bowl
Wooden spoon or electric mixer
cupcake cases
and a cupcake baking tray

for ingredients you will need:
125g of caster sugar
125g of butter/margarine -- i use stork because as it states on the packaging "its perfect for cakes"
125g of self raising flour
2 medium eggs -- I always use free range
1 tsp of vanilla extract
75g of white chocolate chips -- i'm using cooking chocolate but breaking down into smaller pieces as this is all I have in my kitchen today.
1 tbsp milk -- optional step if your mixture seems dry

(if you don't feel their is enough chocolate for your requirements don't be afraid to add more!)

  • mix the caster sugar and butter in a bowl, until light and fluffy adding the vanilla extract as well.
  • now add the flour and 2 eggs and mix again until the mixture is a soft dropping consistency
  • now stir in your chocolate chips and if needed the tbsp of milk. (if mixture seems dry)
  • spoon the mixture into your cupcake cases -- today i've gone with cream cases with pink and green polka dots for extra cuteness
  • now bake in the oven for 12-20 mintures until light and golden
  • Leave to cool and then you can either decorate your cakes or if you really can't wait -- providing that other family members have already eaten these delicious treats -- ENJOY!!

Happy baking everyone from my house to yours

Sara

Baking: Lemon Fairy Cakes

Want someone sweet for the Spring and up coming Summer to keep all the family happy?

Heres my recipe for Lemon Fairy Cakes!!

You will need:
100g Caster Sugar
100g Butter
100g Self raising Flour
2 Eggs
2 table spoons of lemon curd... (or as much as you fancy)

Start by mixing the sugar and butter together, until light and fluffy.

Then add the 2 eggs beat again, then add the flour (sieve this to reduce lumps!) once you have fixed all the ingredients together till its all nice and smooth.

Last add your lemon curd and mix again...

Cook and your ready to go!!

I also added icing to mine, if you want you can add lemon curd to the icing to give some lemony chucks or lemon flavoring.

Happy Cooking
