Finger Friends

Post arrives, what can this be?

A treat from Peru!!!

One of Tyler's Aunt's, Richards sister has gone traveling, and sent Tyler his first present from around the world!!

She has sent him some finger puppets!! And they are rather cool, and bright! Certainly caught Tyler's Eye!! they are hand knitted as well!! So I haven't got much to write, I really just wanted to share some pictures with you!!

This is a clay Lama that she has sent, as Tyler has lots of Wade China figures of animals in his room passed down from my nan when she passed away, so now he has a little something to add to the collection.

Aren't they so groovy?!

A Quick note

So I have been a little naughty, I started a diet in January and did really well...... until mid-February!!

Slightly no very disappointed in myself as I am determined to have my body back in shape, I just need to realize its not going to come back just like that!! Constantly seeing celebs' with tinny tummies in a matter of months does not help

So i'm back at it now!! I shall keep you all posted on my progress, and what i'm doing to help!!

Who feels the same!? Anyone got any tips and tricks

Nappy bag must's

This is a blog for those of you wondering what you need in your nappy bag? Keeping it organized and how to have a stress free day out!!

So what do you need to always keep in your nappy bag??
  • Well of course a handful of nappies!!
  • A few spare baby grows & Baby vests.
  • A pack of Baby wipes
  • 3/4 Bibs!! (you can never have too many)
  • A dummy if you use them
  • Formula
  • Breast pads - if you are breast feeding
  • Teething gel - for those teething tots
  • Teething toys
  • Babies favorite toy/cuddly
  • Calpol - after 2months this can start to be used.
  • Nappy bags
  • Changing matt
  • Bottles (when heading out!!)
  • Sudocream or a nappy rash ointment.
When going out for a long day, making sure you have enough bottles, bibs, baby grows and nappies... and breast pads if your breast feeding can make your day out as a family go smooth and simple :)
So having too much is better than not having enough.

So have a great day out and enjoy your selves :)

Look who turned 4 months old!

My little boy is now 4 months!! Which means we can start weaning him on to solids!! How exciting!

I cant believe 4 months ago I meant this perfect little man for the first time, he's just gorgeous. I never knew it was possible to love someone so much, I don't think anyone can understand the meaning of love until they are a parent.

What can I do now i'm 4 months??..

  • I know who my mommy and daddy are and I smile at them the most.
  • I know my Auntie Tarnia really well, she comes to see me all the time... She spoils me rotten too *cheeky grin*
  • I have learnt how to roll from my back to my belly!.. Mom found me with a surprise the first time I did it..
  • I wriggle all the time.. So I wont be found in the same place as you left me.
  • I can giggle and make lots of noises!
  • I can sometimes roll from my belly to my back, but I still need to practice, it's harder than rolling back to belly!
  • I am teething again, maybe i'll get a tooth come through soon.
  • I'm showing all the signs that I want to be on solids.
  • I found my feet!!
  • I can almost sit up without help
  • I can hold my own bottle sometimes!!... Apparently I shouldn't be doing this until i'm 10months.. oops!
I wonder what I will learn over these next 4 weeks!?

I Love you baby boy.. My little Tyler Owain.

What about the Daddies??

So, I got a few new follower's on my twitter, and realized that my blog is called "for the mommies" but really it should be for everyone?? What about the Daddies out their doing with a partner or doing it alone!

So for one I must apologize, and say that this blog is reviews on baby things, progress my baby makes, tips and advise as I experience things with my little boy. Letters to my son and just sometimes random rubbish! I don't think any of us mommy bloggers have thought about this?? Having a baby; Becoming a parents takes two!

Next I think i'm going to need to change the blog name!! What do you guys think?? Do you have any ideas!?

I hope the daddies out in the world of blogging can forgive me!!

Packing for your new baby

So that all important day is near, we have already spoke about what to pack for yourself for this special moment in your life, now it's time to see what you need to pack for the bumbling baby in your belly.

So first things first;

  • DON'T forget the Car Seat!! You wont be able to leave the hospital without it!
  • 1 outfit for going home - when I had my bumbling boy, We didn't know what were having, waiting for a surprise. So we got a pink and a blue outfit to take with us as the outfit to wear leaving the hospital :)
  • 2/3 sleep suits and vests to wear during your time in the hospital.
  • 2 hats
  • Baby blanket
  • Scratch mitts; you can buy baby grows with scratch mitts built onto the sleeves these are great as they can't fall off which means no scratch's!!
  • Nappies!
  • Baby wipes
  • 2 pairs of socks and 1 pair of booties
  • Depending on the time of year, if winter you may need a think pram suit to keep baby warm when leaving to go home
  • Some hospitals provide bottles if you intend to formula feed your baby, but make sure just in case you need to take your own.
  • Formula; you can buy cartons rather than taking a large tin
  • Don't forget to take your baby a little teddy to cuddle next too
Once you have all this you are ready and set to go!

Hope this helps you and Good luck

Love Sara&Tyler xoxo
