5 months

Wow 5 months old already! Where has it gone?! Feel's like yesterday we had to support his neck! And he would sleep and sleep and eat and sleep!

Now its watching him for every second of every day, making sure little fingers are reaching for cables and things they shouldn't!

Everything that we give him goes straight to his mouth!

Still teething but doing so much better!

And Weaning is going great! So far his list is;

  • Baby Rice
  • Porridge
  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Banana
  • Plum
  • Butternut Squash
  • Rusk
  • Sweet potato
  • Mash
  • Cauliflower Cheese
  • Spaghetti Bolonase

That's all I can think of! But can't wait till he is 6 months and he can have everything that Richard and I have to eat! Will be so fun :)

My perfect little angle. Love him millions! More than anything in the world!

My baby boy Tyler.. Happy 5 months 25.04.2012 :) Can't wait till 6 months! Feels like that will be a real mile stone! :)

It's all over....

....For now.

So Tyler has had his last 3 jabs Tuesday :( .. Again he was upset but very brave! But that is all his jabs now until he is 12months old!!

He'll be so big! Think the jabs will be even harder as he'll understand and be stronger so a little harder to get to sit still!!

O well we will worry about that another day.

Bio Oil Review

When I was pregnant I used Bio Oil to keep stretch marks at bay, and it works wonders! I only had them on the top of my thighs and they fade after a day of so of use! It's great, definitely recommend.

I was very lucky during pregnancy and didn't really get stretch marks, until the very end literally 2 weeks before I gave birth and my Bump "dropped" so much so quick!! So I couldn't do too much about it!

Over time all marks fade, but I feel bio oil helps make that process faster!

It is quite oily (obviously) so when applying it I would normally just wear a loose dressing gown while it soaked it for a while then get dressed, other wise it feels clammy against your clothes etc.

Have you tried Bio oil?

Weaning Little Bean

We started weaning our little boy at 16weeks possibly earlier as he was showing signs of wanting to be on solids, and baby will tell you when they are ready so we decided to only try baby rice.

As you can see it is marked that you are able to start this product at 4month (17weeks) And many books will tell you to definitely not to start any early, but in my eyes why stop your baby from trying if your baby wants to??

So how to go about weaning little bean!? Well start to introduce your little gem with 1 spoon a day with their bottle of milk, or after feeding breast milk.
Make sure you and your baby are relaxed, and that your baby isn't screaming for food or it wont be successful!
Also when letting baby try new tastes books always recommend to leave 3 days as your baby will have a reaction if they have an allergy within this time! So don't bombard your little one with lots of new tastes at once!

I have now tried little Tyler on pear, which he loves!! He has also tried carrot which he also likes, along with baby porridge! Which has now put him slightly off his baby rice as it's probably a little "boring" now!!

We plan to try apple next which will be exciting as we also have apple juice to try with him!

Here are some pictures of Tyler trying his food.

So have fun on this new adventure and enjoy your little one!
